The Real Bionic Women

Mitchell had a motorcycle wreck in 2004. She lost her arm due to an highway divider. After doctor's unsuccessfully reattached her arm, they gave her a prosthetic arm. The prosthetic arm was not going so well neither, she had no control over it. So she ended up getting "targeted reinnervation" surgery. It was a robotic arm controlled by the person's thoughts. Not only could she just move her arm when she wanted, she could feel sensation.

I think this is a great experience, if you lose your am. I would much rather have a robotic arm that i could move & feel then have no arm at all. She is lucky to have gotten this surgery, especially after all those unsuccessful experiences she had before. I hate she had to go through losing her arm, but it makes me feel a little better that she was able to have this "targeted reinnervation" surgery.
